I thought the day would never come
when I’d get another chance to love.
Then I met you and found the qualities
in a companion that I’d been dreaming of.
Some days the loneliness and the quiet
in my heart seemed to difficult to bear.
And I’d picture in my mind how wonderful
life could be if only you were there.
I was beginning to think that maybe
there wasn’t a true love meant for me.
Then I realized that it would happen
if only it’s meant to be.
Now my broken heart of loneliness has been
mended by a love so special and true.
And I am filled with peaceful joy knowing
that my life will now be spent with you.
